Kitemark Licence Awarded
Mixamate Anglia has become the first Mix-On-Site operation in the UK to be awarded the prestigious Kitemark licence for concrete to BSEN206-1 and BS8500. The Kitemark certification means that Mixamate’s customers in the Anglia region, whose projects can range from driveways, garage bases, garden paths and footings through to highway reinstatement works, Supermarket construction projects and safety barrier repairs; can now be rest assured that the concrete being delivered has reached a specification for performance, production and conformity to the highest standards. In addition to quality being guaranteed by BSI, customers also benefit from knowing they will get the exact amount of concrete they require every time and they will only pay for what they lay. Mixamate’s Franchisee for East Anglia, Dominic Dillon says; “I am very proud to be the first Mixamate Franchisee and mix-on-site supplier in the UK to receive this Kitemark licence; it is a fitting testimony to our processes and the quality of our products and service. Through the Kitemark we have independent verification that our concrete is of the highest standard and my customers can remain confident that they are dealing with the best in the business”. Dominic plans to assist Mixamate roll-out BSI accreditation to other territories in the network over the coming 12-18 months.
Mixamate scores at Wembley
Mixamate was recently requested by The New Wembley National Stadium to supply concrete for a forthcoming American Football game to take place back in September 2007.
Our driver Alonso was in attendance with one of our brand new Conqueror trucks. This order required 2 pours 2.5m³ each of C35 concrete pouring into bases at each of the ground for the new posts and a time capsule message was duly signed by all in attendance which was fittingly rammed into a fanta orange bottle for that period touch.
The Wembley staff under the guidance of Mr Steve Welch Head Groundsman were so impressed with not only the speed of our operation, but the clenliness of the site on completion which is a major feature of these vehicles that and that he would have no hesitation in calling us for all their future requirements - a job well done.
This delivery was special for us to be invited to supply such a prestigious contract and extra special as the main Cemex Plant responsible for supplying over 90,000 cubic metres to the main contractor stood only 50 yards away: Mixamate 1 - Cemex 0 (in extra time).
